Automobiles in Germany's Town Found Smeared with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Police State

Authorities mentioned they were contacted by a resident who found a car in Hanau smeared with red-colored liquid

Around 50 cars have been marked with what appears to be human blood in the Germany's town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, police confirm law enforcement.

Automobiles, walls and postal boxes were defaced, occasionally with swastikas, they stated in a release.

Law enforcement state they were notified late on Wednesday night, when a man discovered that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored liquid.

The substance had been drawn in the pattern of a swastika, they reported.

Law enforcement then found numerous other smeared vehicles and house walls in the surrounding area.

Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under legislation prohibiting the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Police say early analysis suggest the liquid was probably human blood.

"At present there remains no indication as to its origin; officials are not yet aware of any injuries in connection with the event," they added.

Municipal representatives stated they were trying "to resolve the mystery" and have requested to the community for information.

A high-ranking political figure said the attack made him stunned and needed to be addressed rapidly.

"This act strikes at the center of Hanau and reopens the pain of the right-wing terrorist attack in 2020," he wrote on social media, recalling the killing of nine victims by a shooter targeting people of immigrant origin in February 2020.
